Extremely boring ceremony, but I loved the slam dunk at the end: Spotlight won Best Picture!

The Oscars got it right.

I predicted the winner in every single acting and directing category, but missed BP. I predicted The Revenant, but put Spotlight at #2.

Spotlight really is a great film.

Classic Oscars. A movie nobody wants to see wins. I think it was in the local theater less than a week on one screen.

I saw all of the BP nominated films and Spotlight was the only one I saw twice (although I would have voted for The Revenant).

Of course the Oscars don't award the "movie everybody wants to see." That would just be decided by the movie that makes the most money.

I guess Star Wars should have won this year, huh?
