What movies have you seen about Reincarnation? Some of those I've seen are The Search for Bridey Murphy and Boris Karloff's The Mummy. While many viewers see the Mummy Imhotep's death as tragic and fatalistic, I actually see it as optimistic because the entire film dealt with Imhotep reincarnating multiple times in order to reunite with his beloved princess. So obviously his death is not the end as presumably Imhotep will reincarnate to try again. I'm surprised that hardly anybody realizes that when the theme of Reincarnation was shown so emphatically.
Also, do any of you believe in Reincarnation? If so, do you see any inaccuracies or discrepancies in the movies which don't line up with your belief?

Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (2010), directed by Apichatpong Weerasethakul. Beautifully filmed, I highly recommend it.

The only one I know of that I have seen is Bram Stoker's Dracula with Gary Oldman and Winona Ryder.Dracula's wife in this version of the story kills her self when she thinks he is dead. She comes back centuries later as Mina Murray/Harker.No, I do not believe in reincarnation.

How about resurrection? Carl Theodor Dreyer's Ordet (The Word) (1955).

Re-Animator and Pet Sematary [sic]. Both films are hideous -- do not see them.

Enter the Void. There really isn't much to the movie aside from incredible visuals (and REALLY graphic content)

Audrey Rose was allegedly based on a true story. Not a bad one. Played a bit like and excoricst rip-off.

The Fountain was a worthy one time watch.

I believe in Blacula, Mamawalde found his long lost love re-incarnated.

In the bizarre horror-comedy-philosophy film Cememtery Man, Rupert Everett keeps seeng the same woman over and over in various incarnations.

No, I did not know that Audrey Rose was based on a true story. All I knew was that the other film, the Bridey Murphy film was based on a true case. Having seen the Audrey Rose film myself, I don't recall the Hopkins character undergoing any hypnotic regression at all. In comparison, in the Bridey Murphy film, the lady, Virginia, undergoes extensive hypnotic regression, that enabled Morey Bernstein to track down the historical data on the Bridey Reincarnation, which is what made it convincing.

The Reincarnation of Peter Proud (1975) is the only reincarnation movie I can remember seeing. It was well directed but the plot was a little thin. Good cast and great score by Jerry Goldsmith As the sayings go I believe we only pass this way once.
