LITTLE WOMEN was the best movie I saw in the theater last year.

DOLEMITE IS MY NAME was a good movie. Year's best? Nah.

THE IRISHMAN was good. Year's best? Nope. Scorsese's best movie in a long time, to be sure. But truly great? No.

I haven't seen most of the rest of that list.

Little Women
Jojo Rabbit
Joker

I hated the Irishman ... took me four sittings to slog through it.

I know it was a bit too fun to appeal to the highbrow critics, but this was actually one of 2019's best movies:

For now it's Joker.

I'm trying to watch Parasite, Little Women, and Marriage Story before the Oscars ceremony.

1917. And I normally avoid wartime movies. Joker was good too. Ford & Ferrari was charming. Harriet was a powerful movie.

I only saw 4 of the 8 Oscar nominees for best picture. of the 4, my vote would go to 'once upon a time in hollywood'.
