Has anyone gone to see the Movie The Shift as of yet, and if so what did you get out of it.
I really enjoyed it and will share my perspectives later....but one thing I really loved was the sound at each side of the movie screen, which immitated the sound of the Cradle Balance Balls and what significance do you think it portrayed in the movie.
I thought the movie was very deep, and dark, enjoyed the concept of a modern day Job, but it is, in my opinon, not for Christians who fear thinking outside the box.
I enjoyed it, for many reasons, but many Christains called it a SciFi movie, as I suppose they were unable to think outside the box.
It's the story of Job, or copied after the his story, but in modern day...with the idea that the world as we know it has three dimensions of space—length, width and depth—and one dimension of time. But there's the mind-bending possibility that many more dimensions exist out there. And the stars of the movie, become displaced in other dimensions/worlds, which are run by the Benefactor/Satan.
The movie starts with Newton's Cradle,
The cradle is meant to show the conservation of energy and momentum, both of which involve mass. The impact of one ball will move another ball of the same mass the same distance at the same speed. In other words, it'll do the same amount of work on the second ball as gravity did on the first one. Well, in the movie, (and my girlfriend didn't pick up on this, b/c she was so on the edge of her seat) well, you could hear the ball clicking on either side of the movie screen which signified to me, how one effects the other....
I mean the movie was filled with messages, so much so, that I'd call it riviting, and so paralled Job's life, and the horribles that happened to him, that I want to see this movie again...b/c I was so grabbed by it, as it's riviting.
Christains all over the world are Spiritually Blind, meaning The spiritually blind hear the truth, but they cannot see what it means. They cannot see the “big picture” of salvation, and they are unable to see how it applies in their own lives. We are blind to the things of the Spirit – we are unable to perceive them, which is why a whole lot of Christains saw this movie but didn't care for it....
You need to be open minded....in order to view it and understand it and the ending, was awesome....
Really told Job's Story, I would suggest reading Job first before going to see it.....

Yes I know what they described the Genre as, however, since I believe there are other dimensions, it really wasn't a sci fi to me? But, you are correct, yes they did....and so do many Christians, however, is it really?
I believe Job went thru pretty much the same thing....was that a sci fi? I dunno, seems to me, kind of strange to call it that, since they talked about the other worlds/dimensions....and taking the story after Job's experience but in a modern day world?
But you hare absolutely correct!
Heres the thing, some reviewers said, they walked out b/c they don't like sci fi? Which to me, seemed rather missing the whole point of the movie? Again, to each his own....just my 2 cents.
