In the final scenes of BlacKkKlansman (2018), Spike Lee used music from Inside Man (2006) (films, director)

Its probably not unheard of for a director to borrow music from another of his own films, but it caught me by surprise, in the final scenes of BlacKkKlansman (the scenes showing Charlottesville 2017) the music mirrored that from Inside Man.
What's the link between these 2 films? Inside Man was the last time Spike Lee and Denzel Washington worked together, and Spike Lee works with Denzel's son John David Washington in BlacKkKlansman.
Probably not the reason for sharing the music though, just cool music Spike wanted to use again.
And there it is- The last song, “Photo Opps,” plays over the montage. What was it like composing that?
You want to write something that says, “We all know better,” you know what I mean? “This is not who we are as a people.” All religious backgrounds I’ve encountered speak about love and compassion, and the things we saw in that montage are the antithesis to that. I wanted to write something that was going to pull those heartstrings The song is actually taken from The Inside Man but readapted for that scene.
