All I can say is OH MY GOD....

I watched this movie on a fluke. I was surprised I never heard of it.

It will shock you completely. Worse that it is a true story

An American Crime (2007)

Gertrude Baniszewski - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stars the beautiful Ellen Page and the very talented Katharine Keaner

an unbelievable sickening story

Seems as interesting as it is disturbing, but if the story and acting are as good as The Woodsman another movie which is as disturbing as it is interesting, I'll definitely check it out.
Sometimes the truth truly is more stranger than fiction.

Yes, Unbelievable.

I just watched this movie, got it out of a Redbox. Had never heard of it.

Oh My God. Horrible.

However, after reading about the case on the internet, I have found that the movie didn't even portray the situation accurately. The abuse was even more horrific, calculated, and malicious than it was portrayed in the movie. It seems the movie barely scratched the surface, and to me, it just brought attention to the case without really giving the viewer an idea about what was REALLY happening.

That poor girl. Really, unimaginable.

I never got a chance to watch this movie, because we cut off out Showtime before it premiered...lol.
But now that I remembered about it, I'm gonna look it up online to watch it.

I read about that story too, and its sickening to hear what that lady did.
I'm so mad, that they didn't give her life without parole. She should've died in prison.

The movie really toned down the true events, and those shown in the film were nauseating in themselves. There are some truly evil human beings in the world.

Man, Catherine Keener sure can act...
