Looks like the killer Santa is back in a rehash of the original and controversial "Silent Night, Deadly night." Watch for a wave of copycats just like back in the day.
I loved SNDN, this remake looks awful. The original had an awful lot to say: how violence affects children, religious figures abusing their power, the effect of bullying, punishment for one's sins, etc.
This remake just looks like a kill fest. I will say that I am glad to see someone using a flame thrower again. Last movie I remember set in present day using a flame thrower was Lethal Weapon 3.

Reminds me of Black Christmas, the original was truly creepy! The remake was nothing but shock value and gratuitous violence
Never saw Silent Night, think I'll put it in the netflix queue

The original was great! With the creepy phone calls and dread with the killer stalking them. They remade that too and it was AWFUL.
The original Silent night is a classic, And what the OP above you said about the movie is right on.
