LUCASFILM and Disney have announced that the next Star Wars Blockbuster will focus on Jar Jar Binks.
According to
the Daily Variety, Disney wants to move forward with the next blockbuster film and has decided to focus on a her story involving the rise and contributions of Jar Jar Binks.
The film will pick up at the end of Episode One but then branch off to Jar Jar Binks becoming a central hero in the Resistance and long time friend of the Jedi.
Rumors are that the film will cost $650 Million to make, making it the most expensive and potentially biggest film yet.
No word yet on acting, although
George Lucas is said to be in the forefront of directing and writing.
Personally, I am all for this. Jar Jar Binks has so much potential not only as a character but in the realm of merchandising and pop culture, and I agree that the time is right to move forward with this.
