I see your "Tide" and raise you "Rip".

Al Bowlly & Lew Stone Band - Riptide (1934) - YouTube

I know! I know! I'm a sick woman! I'm addicted! But, I refuse to go to Al Bowllyholics Anonymous! (Trust me, I'm not the only one infatuated with him!)

I see your "Irish" and raise you "My Wild Rose"~sung by the man who wrote it!

Chauncey Olcott - My Wild Irish Rose (1913) - YouTube

I have Irish ancestry on all sides of my family, all of them not so many generations from Ireland. They came here as boundslaves aka bond servants, most of them children, who had to work to pay back their passage. So, I do get peeved when "true" Irish deny Americans whose people came from there. Then, I do get my Irish up, as they say though my mother would call it "going on the warpath", as that's the other part of our ancestry: the Illini aka Illinois tribe. And, that's far more than anyone would ever want to know and likely didn't read this far, so it doesn't really matter, does it?!

Sorry, but I got a bit confused there with the progression!

I see your "Wild" and raise you "Thing".

Wild Thing - The Troggs - YouTube

My response when I saw "Alcohol" was this bizarre Eurovision song:

I see your "Eyes" and raise you "I'll Never Let You Go (Angel)".

Steelheart- Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes) - YouTube

Here's the music video, which I didn't find till after I posted the other.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-nyeiKk35M

This song is listed in a range of ways: "I'll Never..." and "Never..." and with or without "(Angel Eyes)". I don't have my cassette handy, so I can't verify which it is.

I see your "The Morning" and raise you "After", a song that won the Oscar for "The Poseidon Adventure" (1972). I recall that the nomination/win had people scratching their heads in puzzlement because few seemed to recall Carol Lynley lip-syncing to it a couple of times, including just before the wave hit.
