Reading various reports, Fleetwood Mac has announced they will be touring in 2018 without Lindsey Buckingham. Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, and Stevie Nicks will be joined by Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Neil Finn (Crowded House).
I have not noticed Fleetwood Mac, Fleetwood, Christine McVie, Nicks, and Buckingham making statements on their websites or through social media about the upcoming tour and the decision to tour without Buckingham. Finn has confirmed he has joined Fleetwood Mac.
I hear this was just rumours. Buckingham’s departure was reportedly hastened by a disagreement over the band’s upcoming tour. It should be noted that both times Buckingham has left Fleetwood Mac, it’s taken two musicians to replace him.

I have heard Buckingham has a new album coming out and would like to tour for it. His plans were made while Fleetwood Mac was figuring out what to do.
When Buckingham departed in 1987, he was replaced by Billy Burnette and Rick Vito. That lineup lasted for four years and release a good album, Behind the Mask (1990).
Lindsay Buckingham= great musician, insufferable human being. Or so I have heard.
I'm a huge fan of Neil Finn, so it'll be interesting to hear how he fits into the Fleetwood Mac sound.
I have heard Neil Finn through Crowded House. "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong" were Crowded House's hits in the United States. I do not think Finn is a great selection to join Fleetwood Mac.
Mike Campbell is known for being in Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. He, Benmont Tench, and Steve Ferrone have collaborated with Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie's albums. Campbell, Tench, and Scott Thurston have also worked on Eagles Glenn Frey and Don Henley's albums. Nicks' sound in the early 1980's, specifically Bella Donna and Mirage, was influenced by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
I would not mind seeing Billy Burnette return. He was a collaborator with Mick Fleetwood and Christine McVie's albums and was in Fleetwood Mac from 1987 through 1995.
Christine McVie is back for the tour? She left last time saying she was done with touring. I guess the $$$$ speaks loudly.
