Midnight, you're right. It's from the late 80's. That song reminds me of our family fishing days. My youngest would start singing it as soon as her line hit the water. I think she was about nine at the time. Claimed the fish liked her singing. Weird thing is ... she always caught a fish. Guess the fish were country music fans, too.
The "days of the week" dominance was an accident. Also I'm literally under four-foot tall so I can find the "Terror in Tiny Town" clips in the one cute/funny without any worry. (Although to be honest it helped them make a living and as I recall the actual film is less demeaning than some things dwarf actors did then)
