I bought the daniel powter 2005 cd on amazon for $3.00 (incl s&h) & it was well worth it. The hit song "Bad Day" was the #1 song of the year for 2006 & i can totally understand why. I have had many bad days & i can relate to the song. Bad day was the last song my sister & i listened to on her cd stereo player in her car before her death last aug. She really liked the song & knew i did too. If you have never listened to bad day i highly suggest you do. I dont really care for music from the mid 90s & up but i just had to have this cd. I also like the other songs but bad day is of course my favorite. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Day...el_Powter_song)
Well, it's a catchy song! When it came out I was working at a group home with developmentally disabled young men. We had some great times together and we also had some real gems when it came to bad days. We listened to a lot of top 40 music together and this number was everywhere on the dial.
The song title became a catchphrase around work for the clients. I'd come in at 4 p.m. and ask so-and-so how his day went. Often the reply was sung back to me.
~~I had a bad day~~
~~I'm taking one down~~
~~and sing a sad song just to turn it around~~
It was pretty clear to me that their bad day, real or imagined, had turned out
ok.
I can understand how you would feel about this song, steel. And I'm sorry that your sister isn't there to enjoy it with you now.
I like the song. The first time I heard it was on American Idol. When someone was eliminated from the competition, they'd play the song while showing clips from their "journey" on the show. Hadn't heard it before then but afterwards, it was on the radio all the time. It's a good song. My sincerest condolences for your loss. I hope that, when you hear it now, you are reminded of the good days with your sister.

Good song, I used to think it was Train who performed the song when I've first heard of it and this song takes me back to Season 5 of American Idol (one of the best seasons of all time)

Yeah, that's the season I was thinking of, the first time I heard it.
I only watched idol once & that was when it first debuted. Since bad day came out in 2006 i have only listened to it 2xs & both of those xs was in my sisters car with her (she had the cd). It really is a teriffic song & it has to be for me to purchase it. I mainly listen to oldies & not justine beiber, jlo the fur ho, beyonce or all those other conceited creeps.
