The Beatles just never did anything for me. I'd MUCH prefer to listen to the Rolling Stones any day of the week. I can appreciate the Beatles' talent and the impact that they had but I've never found myself going out of my way to listen to their songs. I like mostly British bands too, the Stones, Who, Yes, Jeff Beck, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd.

I'm not a Beatle fan either. I love the Stones and Zeppelin and sing them both at karaoke. I don't think I have ever met anyone who doesn't care for the Beatles.

The Beatles fans tend to be more intellectual and educated whilst the Stones have that raw, sexual sound that most common ordinary people seem to enjoy

Beatles aren't my favorite but I have to admit they are the Greatest Band of All Time

“I declare that The Beatles are mutants. Prototypes of evolutionary agents sent by God, endowed with a mysterious power to create a new human species, a young race of laughing freemen.”
Timothy Leary

“...it was not simply a matter of musical taste; whether you preferred the Beatles or [the Rolling] Stones said much about your personality and character. People who were happy, intelligent, well-adjusted, popular, clean, decent and punctual tended to be Beatles fans. Those who were evil, cretinous, scabby, drug-ridden, filthy, criminal perverts liked the Stones.
As for your author, I personally take no side in the controversy, remaining strictly neutral.”
Lewis Grossberger

There's a book on this out now called the Beatles vs. The STones. I have long staed on here that the Beatles are overrated but I think they had more depth than the STones. Personally I prefer the Kinks, R.E.M., The Doors, and the Velvets to name a few.
