Lil Wayne, Ludacris and TI are my faves getting airplay at the moment. I like Outkast too because they're different. Same for Field Mob - they have some crazy punchlines in their lyrics if you listen. When I'm feeling "southern" I'll blast some Trick Daddy or Rick Ross.

Hate the whole 50 cent/G unit I gotta a lotta money and nothing else to rap around songs.

I loved 50's first album but after that his rapping all seems to be about how much money he has and all the girls that want him - uh okay. And I'm probably the only black person under 25 who listens to rap music who doesn't like Nas or Jay Z. I like occasional songs, like Song Cry but overall I can't stand Jay Z.

Anything real. That disqualifies 99% of what's on BET today.

Only ones in the public eye who are good are Common, Lupe, Jay-Z, Nas, Outkast, Luda, Snoop, and a few others.

All the other good artists are underground. My favorite underground MC's are MF Doom, Aesop Rock, and Sage Francis.

My favorite is Atmosphere, but I listen to a fair amount of Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, and the Crest.

I'm still slllloooowly sinking into the genre and exclusively listen to underground stuff.

Everytime I start a thread on rap someone always has to say something bad about it.If you don't have nothing nice to say try not to post in this thread.

Then you haven't heard real rap. Or you hate poetry and good beats. Either way, it's sort of tragic.
