Mick turns the big 65 today....but will he retire ?
Time sure flies ....I remember him celebrating his 35th birthday on Good Morning America (host was David Hartman, I think?) ...they even had a cake for him ...at the time The Rolling Stones were riding high with a big "new" album "SOME GIRLS" high on the charts
I remember thinking at the time ....35 ...that's kinda old to rock 'n roll ... little did we know he'd be rockin' 30 years later !!
Anyway happy birthday Mick (where ever you are)...thanks for 45 years of great music
I saw the stones in 82', on what was billed as a "farewell" tour! Little did we know he would still be touring I was on the rail, and yes Keith looked bad even then. It was a great show, Jay Geils band opened for them. Guess he still had wives and children to pay for.

Squarepeg, whos the guy up and right from Mick in the big pic with the black coat? I know everyone else, but he has me stumped. I saw Mick on a show "Being Mick Jagger" where they followed him for a few days. He was bright, polite to fans, articulate, joined in the races at the kids school picnic and was so proud to show off his grown daughter. Then he was in the studio and began to sing/dance,whew, coolest 65 yr old I have ever seen.
Nanannie - that would be a 67 year-old Eric Burdon, lead singer of The Animals, and for a while, War. Interestingly, he was one of the first people to learn of Jimi Hendrix's death.
From Wikipedia:
Burdon received a phone call on 18 September 1970 from Monika Dannemann, informing him that her boyfriend Jimi Hendrix was not waking up and was unresponsive. He told her to call an ambulance.
