This has been a several year search for me. I love Celtic music, love to sing it, but I don't speak Gaelic. Ashley McIsaac had a guest vocalist, Mary Jane Lamond, on his big debut cd, Hi, How are you today.
I would like the words or at least some English phonetic pronunciations for the lyrics in Sad Wedding Day. It is just a few lines but it's haunting nonetheless.
I already have the lyrics to Sleepy Maggie from the same album. Can anyone help me out?
Well you are right. I did a few quick searches and no lyrics exist for that song on the web. I never heard of Ashley McIsaac but I learned enough just searching for your answer.
After reading some fan web sites where on numerous forums Im seeing people asking for lyrics to Sad Wedding Day. That tells me Im not the only one coming up empty.
Good luck. Must be some copyrighed junk that prevents it from being reprinted despite a billion and a half other songs where the lyrics are posted for the world to read.

i have never really heard Irish music (Celtic/Gaelic)... would love to try aome though!
Sad but true. Lyrics (legal and not legal online) are a burgeoning field in the music internet space...International lyrics are especially difficult due to obvious translation issues. Gaelic lyrics, well, sheesh, that's incredibly tough to find unless it's a Celtic standard tune, and even then, well it's pretty tough.
I work in the music internet space and I looked through all of my secret little connections and came up with zilch.
My next suggestion would be to contact the artist or reps. directly, Ashley is Canadian so you don't need to write/speak anything other than English. It's a long shot as lyrics are sort of the holy grail for lots of musicians, but it worth a shot!
