lift it and press... a soft whirring indicates where machine
is hidden in a cube that appeared to be part of a cabinet...
opening it more fully.. expressing a soft gasp of awe at the
compact high quality machine... gently lift out disc and sets
in a disc containing a special surprise... smiles to self...
...sets on continual replay...
...steps into kitchen to prepare a repast...sweet succulent fruit
peeled, sliced, arranged in a rainbow of colors...soft tropical
aromas begin to flow..... place tray with marvelous pottery
plates... dinnerware... napkins and glasses.. ready to serve...
... Keeper announces himself with a clearing of throat at the
entrance... Miss?... crossing main room ....open netting ...
Keeper bows as hands over the supplies... ...expressing
gracious approval and gratitude... waves him away...
seeing a ripe peach among the groceries.. moves to add it to
the meal...suddenly aware that this one might startle
Mr. MMC upon His return... begin to hum softly then begins
to sing in a low voice.. a welcoming song...
... peach sliced opening like a flower... admiring in center of
fanciful fruits... still humming... hears footstep outside of main
room netting...
... feels a gust of rose-petaled breezes... hums louder feeling
like twirling of tiptoes... resists giggles... heart flies like a crazy
rocket... fingers deftly slices more fruits... ears prick ... quickly
adds a flower blossom to an already beautiful arrangement...
... feels Him suddenly behind self...
continues humming loudly.. suddenly turns holding the platter...
smiles up brightly... SURPRISE!!

Nancy Miller, the creator, a producer and sometimes a writer of the script for the TNT hit show: "Saving Grace," says this song from Everlast was her inspiration for much of the pilot and Grace's character.
I'm so glad he grew from that experience and that Nancy Miller found that particular song so inspiring for her work, she reports she literally wore out the CD from constantly playing, "Lonely Road."
