Basia - A New Day For You & Aretha Franklin - I Say A Little Prayer
...smiles as sprinkled warmth from sunlight
moves 'cross my cheek... like fingertips ...
takes a big breath... flower fragrances
hugging Lucky... it's been a mighty fine
day... a mighty fine day...
heart goes for the theatrical tonite as if on a stage...
am the actor of tis scene... what music there to
grasp...
:: am too ... spiritually unkempt for the sensitive
and have limited time for preparation... stays on
the edges of this realm... where love is not the
warmth of heat or colour... the ground is hard and
coarse from lack of loving attention to those
things that feed the soul... no flowers which are
the bloom of unselfish acts of tenderness...
... not even a poor shackled shack for even that
gift comes from a single act that benefits another
exclusive from oneself... lays down in that
atmosphere of heaviness... yet hears a heart of
song meant for me... lifts head...heart hungrily
takes it between spiritually malformed fingers...
I hope all find comfort in whatever memories this
song brings to you.

Ms. Beth,
Way to go to conquer something you haven't previously. Many who post on this board are proud of you.
Glad Lucky was there with you and could feel the cool water of what sounds like a lovely stream. Lucky certainly was well named. He seems to help you at times when you need it the most.
Remember you told me not long ago your faith got through the rough times. Lean into your strong faith these next few weeks more than you may have thought possible. Others here are probably willing to share their faith and hope for goodness to prevail.
Sending you better luck and good wishes your way.
