I hear alot of people talk about flood insurance being needed in area. Are Forestbrook and Carolina forest in these flood prone areas??

It depends on the specific address. Use the government's web sit for a quick answer: www.floodsmart.gov .

One Forestbrook address rates as moderate-to-low with an estimated cost of $420/year. Another Carolina Forest address came up with the same moderate-to-low rating and cost, and another CF address away from the water had the same answer. So, it is advisable to be prepared.
