I honestly think Palm Beach wins by every measure.

Yes, I would have to say that Palm Beach wins every category. However, Naples has good options in them all as well and is a far "slower" pace than the Miami region. For me, I would choose Naples but it is true that Palm Beach exceeds Naples every criteria you asked about.

Are you asking bout Palm Beach (the Town) or West Palm Beach area or Palm Beach County?

If its the latter 2, Naples blows them away in Safety and most other categories.
Lux shopping is close
Golf? Naples

Nightlife? Again, Palm Beach county wins. Town of Palm Beach does not.

Town of Palm beach wins none..You didn't mention the beach, but Palm Beach is probably a better beach since its the Ocean vs the Gulf.

I was definitely asking about the county. Being new to Miami, I was curious about these two areas which seem very similar in terms of a high end lifestyle. Seems like both will also provide a nice escape from the city from time to time and offer amenities you can't find in the city. So yes definitely the county.

Also, what are the best resorts that offer golf packages for someone who doesn't need year round access, but maybe wants to take a day trip a few times per month? Which offers more history and culture as well for a visit? LOL for once I don't mind who has the best beaches. For reference I am in my 30s.

Palm Beach county is very large so you'd have to compare that to Collier County.

I think for comparison sake, you should find an area in that large county of Palm Beach that you're interested in and then compare that to living in Naples. For instance, living in Jupiter or Juno Beach is far different than living in Delray Beach or Boynton Beach. Downtown W Palm vs Wellington is night and day, etc. etc

I lived in Naples for five years but have spent plenty of time on the east cost of Florida. Naples is nice, but Palm Beach/Miami is better for the things on your list except maybe safety, especially at your age.

Default ....

naples wins every topic except amenities and culture. palm beach has better traffic though for a city of its size IMO.
