I was just wondering if anyone's left in Naples. And, if so, what are you doing now that all the season's hoopla is over?

Believe it or not we're still entertaining the last of this season's visitors. AAACCCKKKK!!! Worse yet, they brought a nasty cold down with them and one of them is sitting in the living room sneezing juicy sneezes all over the place at this very moment--which is why I'm hiding in here in my office with the door closed! There's smoke outside so we can't even open the house up to air it out. I know we're doomed to be sick after they finally leave. Wake me up, this has got to be a nightmare!!!

Is anyone else having more fun than I am?

We're here. Sorry you're getting smoked out. It's been heavy here a couple mornings but that's all.

Today is a beach day. We're taking life easy.

We are here as well, not planning on going anywhere!! Smoke seems much better here this morning....

(If you are trying to avoid catching a cold, try taking natural food state zinc.)

Nope. Missing Naples but enjoying SC. Probably won't be back until the early fall.....

What is the smoke from? Wild fires??

Not us...migrated north, back to the Mtn Joint, a month ago.
Doing a 7 week/10,000 mile road trip across the US, to Vancouver;
an AK cruise, and back, starting soon.

Our high temp since we got home to western NC is 72. Hold down the fort in Naples.
Back to Naples in mid Nov, as usual.

A lot of good places to eat run specials. Last year Angelina's had a great half price bar and appetizer menu.

You mean there are people that are not in "Naples Proper" that have not been run off?

Judi, start loading up on zinc, echinacea, vitamin C. Next month the rain will come on a regular basis and the fires will stop, hopefully. May is my least favorite month in swFlorida. It gets much better after that.

Actually I like May. The humidity starts to pick up, the sea is warm, everything is in bloom. The occasional smoke we get from the fires is soon pushed back inland from the breeze. It's one of those differences between inland and the coast.

We were down by Lostmans River mouth yesterday, we had heavy smoke but by 9am it was gone. The water was calm and the sea was alive with fishes everywhere. We had a very good time.
