We are looking to replace a bamboo floor with tile and would like any store/contractor recommendations. Though cost is significant in our decision quality and workmanship are more important. Thanks

We would recommend Hadinger's Floors. Their people know their stuff and installation is great. They moved our furniture as needed, covered cabinets (we were removing old tile and replacing so lots of dust), and moved furniture back into place.

Thanks but I read Google reviews. I know one cannot throw all trust in a review site but the five there were nothing short of brutal. I couldn't in good conscious contact them.

Wow just read those reviews. That wasn't our experience at all. We chose Hadinger because of direct recommendations from neighbors after we bought our home. Had a great experience shopping for carpet and tile. Scheduling was very specific so that we could be away during the installation - everything was done right on time, with the house put back together nicely when we returned. Extra tile was available so we have a box in case of breakage. Sorry that others didn't have as good an experience as we did!

You can't trust internet reviews any more. People are paid to write negative (or positive) reviews. Any company can have someone write a review trashing their competition.

I would trust a recommendation from someone here on this forum more than I would anything on Yelp etc. I've also heard Angie's List isn't as reliable as it used to be. Times have changed. It's much harder to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Call a few flooring places and ask the manager for references. They should have no problem giving you names and numbers of folks with whom they have done business.

Ask about satisfaction guarantees. If you aren't happy with the finished product, what do they do? Get it in writing.

I've used KC Marble & Tile for major tile jobs at 3 different homes. I have been very happy with the workmanship. My installer was Santos; he & his team have always done a fabulous job. KC Marble & Tile

Also, I just had carpet installed by Lowe's. I know it's a big box store, but they were super-reliable and the salesperson was on top of it every step of the way. They are very accountable. I used the Naples Blvd store for this recent job, sales person Clarence Gifford is in the flooring department, main #239-596-2570. I was in a rush, needed carpet installed in 3 bedrooms within 8 days before a tenant move-in and Clarence made it happen on day 6 from when I first walked into the store. It might be worthwhile to talk with him about your tile job.

Has anyone have experience using Naples Flooring Company? I am looking to do either wood or combo wood/stone or marble for a large area (around 4300sf) and want to make sure they are good. Any other suggestions are welcomed.
