Considering a move to the area within a couple years, and need some recommendations on some good builders that would build in GGE, or even west of 75, in a range of 350 to 500k max or so.

Being in Illinois not easy to see who's building out there. Did find one, PFI, but has to be others too?

I'm not looking for a $1mil home, basically 3 Bdrms, 2-3 baths, maybe 3 car garage, somewhere around 2000 sf.

I've seen some listings that are out there for new construction, and seem pretty reasonable, with a couple acres or so.

Prefer no HOA's so thats why I'm looking in that area, but not crazy far out.

Not sure if these builders have an inventory of lots, or if I'd have to buy one first, etc. so curious how they operate, and quality wise too of course.

Slap, I'm looking at houses in GGE on Realtor and Zillow. Some of the listings for new houses list the builder. I don't know a thing about them, but you might start there and just call some of them up.

I only saw one that listed the builder, I guess I could try a few different sites.

Was hoping for some real life experiences from people who have built there.

I worked pretty extensively with Frank at Nova Homes...found him honest and straight forward. Ultimately, however, my wife wanted a community vs building on our own lot. If I ever build a house on our own lot, Frank is the guy I'd call.

His prices have gone up a lot, but thats due to demand in the area.

www.kenmarkconstruction.net

These folks built my house in GGE. When we were building our guest house a few years later we went straight to them, did not consider anyone else.

I have lived in Golden Gate Estates for 17 years and there aren't as many builders as there were when we built. Now that the housing market is rising, there are more builders popping up. Just be careful to research who you use. Let me know if you need any other info! And Welcome (Soon to be) to Naples!

I would stay as far away from Kenmark construction as possible.

Can you explain why? GGE is something I'm curious about as well.
