We are looking to build a tree house for a 5 year old in West Meade area and are looking for recommendations on handypeople, carpenters or specialists who could do it. Any thoughts welcome!

Angus, I sent you a DM. Not sure it went through, though. Did you get it?

I just received it. Thanks! Are they experienced in treehouses? I've called some carpenters already who have done decks, porches, etc. but they say a tree house is a different story. not sure why.

I just asked Dan your question and he's not sure why others balked either. He said they'd be happy to come out and take a look sometime this week, if you'd like.

Whatever you do, good luck. Your kids will have a great summer!

There are probably liability issues. General liability would most likely not cover any law suits related to a kid falling or something happening due to movement of the tree.

That is a good point, but not one that bothered this carpenter. It was more of a structural issue. Maybe he was afraid of heights ... I don't know.
