Hi all...
Is Brew Fest something we could take the whole family to as far as walking down Main Street, sampling foods, etc..while the husband samples some beers?
I guess what I am asking is if it would be family friendly, or is it more of an adult event with people drinking a lot etc???
Also...do tickets sell out?

I would not call it a family event. It's at night, and the tickets are $40 each. They do usually sell out weeks in advance.

It's classier than a pub crawl, but it still has a St. Patrick's theme, and the main focus is drinking beer.

From my experience (and I'll just leave it at that...), brew fests are generally dominated by the 25-40 crowd. You see some older couples, but I've never seen kids (the Franklin deal might be a little different).

My honest advice would be to not take the kids. Even if your husband is responsible and doesn't drink too much, the general atmosphere is...well...buzzed. If your husband wants to go, I'd say get someone to watch the kids for the afternoon, and you go with him and be DD.
