crape myrtles... cherry tree... and others. I just sprayed a whole bottle of the spray from home depot. Is there a good way to get rid of them?

A botanist from U.T. told me what to do, and it worked:

Attach one of those plastic reservoirs to the end of your hose, the kind that are usually used to mix plant food with water as you water a garden. Fill the reservoir about 1/5 full with liquid dish detergent. Then spray all over your crape myrtles and cherry tree as the beetles are buzzing around. The soap will coat the beetles and their eggs and kill them. You might have to do it a few times to get them all.

I did it at a house I owned out in the country, and it worked beautifully.

I used bags to catch them 3 years in a row. Each year I had fewer and fewer beetles. I haven't noticed a problem this year and I don't have bags up

I tried the Bayer stuff you put down and the roots take it in. Don't know yet if it's working.
