Hi, I'm looking to buy into an area/subdivision w/ up to 60minutes commute to Nissan Headquarter in Franklin, TN that has QUICK access to nature trails, a multi purpose trail, greenway or something like Natchez Trace Parkway for DAILY exercise and be near nature.

If possible, trail has to be 3+ mi one way paved trail and picturesque (natural, treed, wildflowers, lake, waterfalls, water, etc.) If you require more information in order to rec'd, pls advise. .

Budget is up to $200-500K but, more importantly, I'd like to explore in areas that have easy/quick access for daily nature hikes/walks/runs. Please share if you know/aware any.

Thank you in advance.

I meant preferably 3 mi one way (or 6mi roundtrip). Don't want .5mi trail (too short for daily runs). Sorry, I posted up so quickly and didn't check for spelling errors some more. Thanks.

This neighborhood, Carriage Hills, is connected to Brentwood's newest 400-acre park, Smith Park, with paved and natural wooded trails:

You could run out your door and be in the park.

Raintree Forest is another neighborhood with quick access to the paved trail system. You would have to run farther through neighborhoods, but it is within 1 mile.

Nissan is about 6 miles away from both.

Wmsn4Life. Thank you so much for the links. If you know of any more neighborhoods, especially newly built/renovated homes that are also accessible to trails, please advise. Looking for a 1500-2000 sq feet home (at least 3bdr/2baths and a small yard) but looking at Brentwood area...don't seem like they make houses in these specs. Any ideas?

Brentwood is one of the most expensive areas in middle TN, and land in Williamson County, where Nissan HQ is located, is really expensive, so builders just can't recoup their investment by building houses the size you want here. Condos? Maybe. But not single-family homes.

I was trying to keep you in Williamson County, either Franklin or Brentwood, because frankly we don't need any more commuters driving here from 30-60 minutes away. But your "wants" may not allow that.

There are homes in your prices range on the other side of Smith Park, in a Franklin neighborhood called Avalon, but they are large, around 3000 square feet.

I am not as familiar with and cannot recommend neighborhoods near Nashville's trails and greenways, although their Parks. dept. has an extensive website.

Westhaven has hiking trails in the woods behind it. Last time I hiked them I think my gps said I did 5 miles. I know other neighbors have gone more and the trails are still being built so eventually there should be even more trails. It also has bike trails but those are more sporadic through the neighborhood.

Brenthaven in Brentwood is a great location with easy access to the Brentwood trails.

Bent Creek in Nolensville is a newer community, in your price range, that has a nature trail. Henry Horton State Park is probably 20-30 minutes away with quite a few hiking opportunities.

Murfreesboro has a city Greenway that is about nine miles long with plans to connect it to Barfield Crescent Park making it about 12 miles in length. It follows the Stones River and has many trail heads. The commute to Frankilin is about 25 to 30 minutes.
