PSA: if you're behind the wheel (or on your bike) and feel the need for speed, do yourself a favor and lease some time at a track. They'll give you proper safety courses.

I just had three guys on crotch rockets pass me on I-24 doing at least 150mph (seriously, I heard three ridiculously loud "zooms" and they were gone - it startled me). About five miles up there were a half dozen cop cars, two ambulances, and a fire truck. A bike helmet was in the road, then a demolished bike about 50 feet from the helmet, then two paramedics loading a body on a stretcher about another 50 feet from the bike. I'm pretty sure the guy was dead.

Don't race on public roads.

Edit: here's the Tennessean bit:

No worries, the only ones dying will be them at that speed on a bike.

Natural selection.

Let's just hope they didn't injure any innocent motorists.

Unfortunately they could also kill innocent people. I saw a photo of a car that was t-boned by a speeding biker and there wasn't much left of either vehicle.

The other day I was driving down I-65. A big group of crotch rockets came speeding down through the HOV lane. Then, my jaw dropped. One of the idiots popped a wheely going about 80 and just drove along like that until I could no longer see him. I mean, the bike was completely vertical, I fully expected him to lose control.

Dangerous for them and especially other drivers. Distracting and nervewracking, and stupidity at its finest.
