I live in the Nashville area. I'm in my 60s and a widow and am trying to think of good places to go listen to music alone. I don't mind doing things alone at all!...but haven't gone out to listen to music by myself, at least in quite a long time. Not country music. Well, a little of that would be fine, but country music is not my thing. Anyone on here that is local who have any suggestions? Thanks!! ~j

Thanks for the reply. I've been to the Bunganut Pig but it's been awhile. I would have forgotten about it. I'll check it out again. I've heard of the Listening Room but not been. Thanks again for the suggestions. The few places I've tried haven't been a good fit. Just looking for something easy, place to hang out. `j

I went to Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant. I enjoyed myself and I was alone.

The group was a country band. I am not a lover of country music but good music is good music. Check it out.

True...good music is good music. I'm not opposed to country, it's just not a favorite. I've not been to Puckett's. I'll check it out as well. I've not been to many places to hear music lately so I'll go give these a shot. Thanks!

Try the Opry. You may like it. You have the option of Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 7-915ish (Single show/nite)
Includes 15 minute intermission.

On a 2 nite show runs 7-9 with no break then 2nd show 9:30-11:30.

Friday & Saturday shows have 3 acts per 1/2 hour do 1-2 songs then move on. Tuesdays 1 artist will be on 15 minutes do 3/4 songs then move on.

So many different styles of country music new/old bluegrass mix of male/female singers. Try WSM650 to see if you like it.

Don't worry about being single in a crowd. Come November the Opry shifts to the Ryman. Any opry show there is a treat.
