Okay, here is my situation. I'm a college student, and starting in the middle of January, I will be doing an internship with the state legislature in Nashville. I'll be living with two other guys doing the same thing, and we're currently looking for a three-bedroom apartment close to downtown Nashville - close enough that getting to work (the legislative plaza downtown) every morning won't be a complete and total pain. We've all agreed that $600/person is probably the upper limit for rent, and living in a safe area is always preferable.

I'm not extremely familiar with the Nashville area myself, but any help you guys can provide me would be great. We've all been doing some research for the last few weeks and we do have several places in mind, but I'm open to advice and suggestions. We're obviously in a bit of a time crunch, and we'll probably be signing a lease at the end of this week or the beginning of next week, but I figured I would see what you guys have to say over the next few days.

Thanks in advance.

For $1800/month, your options are wide open. I would start with something downtown like The Cumberland. If you don't mind being just a few miles west of downtown, The Grove apartments behind Elmington Park are nice and you could easily get in a three bedroom at the price you're looking for.
