A shark at a zoo in Russia has suffered a nervous breakdown after getting excessive attention from visitors, who persistently tapped on the glass to get its attention.
The shark, at the Kaliningrad Zoo, became extremely distressed at the zoo and began moving quickly around the aquarium and hurt her nose and eye in the process.
Let the poor thing go. Ill never understand why zoos cant rotate animals in and out of there, maybe on a yearly basis? Let that one go, put another one in its place.
They should also place workers near exhibits to prevent people from bothering the animals. Zoos are almost completely unwatched, you never see workers at the exhibits, unless its feeding time. People are free to roam around, bang on the glass, rattle the enclosures, etc. Its annoying going to the zoo and watching unsupervised adults and children running rampant and being obnoxious. Half of those idiots should be the ones behind the cages, stuck in there like the animals they are.
