Did you see on the news that Israel is helping Turkey dig under the
Aegean Sea for a port city that sunk due to an earthquake?
They just pulled out an anchor that was dated at 700 BC.

I understand the concept of headlines designed to catch the readers eye, but what is so mysterious about tremors along a fault line?

That is normal. Now if it said mysterious tremors in areas with no fault lines, yes, that would be mysterious.

I totally agree redbird! And it's the San Andreas fault for crying out loud! There are always tremors and movement and such going on in that area!

Just this past spring in the state of Washington, they just discovered some
new faults...not 'new', just not noticed before.
These go west and east and not north and south. They go over
the mountains toward Idaho. This was the big news for them as
these faults were deep underground and not seen readily on the
surface.
The blind faults are the ones that can cause the most devastation.
There is a blind fault right under downtown LA!
