I recently accepted a job in Scottsbluff, even though I have never visited there. I am moving from Colorado, where I live a pretty active life outdoors with my dog. One of my major concerns is I still have no place to stay or move into. I am finding it very hard to look at apartments there from online. So, was wondering what rent may look like for a one bedroom? Do most of the apartments take dogs and cats? Because I have one of both. I am also curious on if there are many different places to hike around there? What does everyone do for fun?
PLEASE HELP

Default Rentals and such

Hi and welcome to the Scottsbluff area! Unfortunately rentals can be tough here for some reason, but try contacting Century 21 Hometeam or Buyer's Realty. They both do rentals. The local paper is the Star Herald. I have found most people still prefer to do business over the phone around here, so online options are pretty scarce.

As far as outdoor recreation, thankfully the Wildcat Hills are nearby as well as Scottsbluff monument. I got a lot of my info when I moved two years ago from a blogger who moved here from Iowa (she no longer updates it very much, but it still has some great info): SCB Citizen | Days in the life of a new resident of Scottsbluff, Nebraska. There is a growing and active community of bicyclists and runners here as well.
