As a Coloradoan who went to Scotts Bluff NM to view the eclipse, I want to thank the residents of Scotts Bluff, Gering, and Kimball for your grace, aplomb, friendliness, and pride in your area. Your welcome to the scores of people who were mostly from a metro area of another state was inspiring. Thank you - it was an amazing experience seeing the total eclipse in such a beautiful setting.

I visit friends in Omaha/Council Bluffs a couple times a year, have spent the night moteling in Kimball and Scottsbluff a few times. Friendly folks in the panhandle!

Every Nebraskan I've met has been awesome. I'm sure the people there made the eclipse viewing even more pleasant.

I concur - we stayed in Kimball and drove up to the amphitheater in Gering and everyone was very welcoming and low key. The eclipse was great. Having the police directing traffic at key intersections all the way down to Kimball post-eclispe was also very helpful.
