At least we can sit in the pool when it hits 110. Can't do that at -20º.

Being from NY and now in South Florida, I agree with all these statements. NY and the cold means you have to be inside all the time. The humidity in S Fla makes things unbearable as your shirt sticks to you and you are drenched on your way to the car.

I hope I can get to LV soon!

what weather problem???? better hot, more than cold. Digging holes when the weather is hot or just under. Of course, no one knows HOT until they spend time in Bullhead City, Needles, or Lake Havasu during the summer. But even then, it's not really all that bad. Makes you really appreciate an ice cold beer

I moved here from central Oklahoma. The year that we moved Oklahoma had extreme drought conditions and temperatures that exceeded 100 degrees for about six weeks straight. During that stretch we came to Vegas to finalize employment and housing. It was 110 and felt cooler than what we had just left (due to the difference in humidity). Anything above 110 is hot even if it's dry, and you just take precautions (like learning desert rule #1: the best parking place is the one in the shade, not the one nearest the door).

Of all the many reasons we like Las Vegas, the desert scenery and the weather are right up there. Certainly the summer heat calls for a special strategy but that is no more debilitating than 90 degrees in Minnesota when it is 85 percent humidity.

And after 60 years of Minnesota winters, they really wear you down.........

Easy, when it's hot we find a shade and when it's cold we find the sun shine.
