I was in kingman in June and it was cold and really windy
I know the elevation is different - but I have been watching the weather in laughlin and it seems to be really windy a lot of the time --- I was watching the weather this past winter and there was always a north wind at around 30 mph - and I know that there is nothing north of laughlin besides higher altitude --- so I'm assuming it's a really bad cold wind all the time

is anyone from there that knows what it's really like ?

I spent two Winters there...it can be windy, but it is still a mild Winter, and many snowbirds return every year. All the trailer trash on the AZ side is the real worry, and Needles is worse.

Get yourself big grain of salt. It is simply the desert. It is not particularly windy. If you wish check around - not one of the 100 most windy places in the US are in the west. Simply does not happen.

The peak winds in Laughlin virtually never exceed 20 mph. Average speeds are half that.

It may actually have freezing temperatures but very rare.

I spent several days in Vegas Feb. 2019, it was rainy, wet, and chilly for at least two of them. On one, we piled in the car and headed to Laughlin, where it was at least five degrees warmer (low-to-mid-60's), and very sunny, it was wonderful to walk between casinos on the Riverwalk. Lots of boats on the river. To be honest, it was my favorite part of the trip, the slots were looser, the weather was better, the buffet (brunch) was the best meal I had out there ("newer" restaurant, with a big glass wall overlooking the river, can't remember the name) - ate until I could barely waddle. I'd much prefer to be out there in Feb / March than mid-summer, where I imagine the sun cooks your brain if you leave the A/C. Vegas has the Freak Show at Fremont Street, and all the bigger, nicer casinos on the strip, but to be honest, I loved Laughlin, wish I would have gone out on the river.

Laughlin better than Vegas? Lol. Yes, it is often true, but expect insecure transplants in Vegas to tell you, you are out of your mind.

You wouldn't be the first to suggest I've got a loose screw somewhere between my ears. But Laughlin reminded me of what Vegas was in the 80's, just a more chill, less-crowded, easier going vibe than I catch in Vegas of today. It just felt "friendlier" for some reason, maybe because the average age was older, I don't know. I had several nice conversations walking down the Riverwalk with people who had dogs, folks seated at tables, etc., it was just a really nice afternoon - nothing I did in Vegas proper was nearly as memorable.

I agree with you..the will be by to tell us we both have a loose screw. I bought a probate condo in BHC in 1999...very nice for 26000.
