They should leave the age limit where it is. It's a small, but vital idiot filter.

18 yr olds are just starting to move out on their own. It's too young to throw in that type of temptation. They need a few years of being financially responsible for themselves before you allow them to throw all their money away gambling. Too many 18 yr olds will come out of high school and ditch the idea of college to be a self proclaimed poker pro.

Although I'm sure the casinos love the idea, easy money for them.

They should absolutely lower it, and the drinking age, to 18. If you're an adult in the eyes of the legal system, can be drafted and die for your country and vote to elect your leaders, how can you not be old enough to play blackjack while enjoying a beer?

/me agrees with Swager.

Also - If they want to increase revenue from tourist dollars, they need to legalize prostitution and Pot. Do those 2 things and I guarantee we will be back at 100% occupancy.

There is no Sin in Vegas that doesnt exist anywhere else in the country anymore.

Theres plenty of indian casinos that are 18 and up that do fine. Most of them dont serve alcohol though, at least the ones I know of. I wouldnt say its a bad idea, but as long as the drinking age stays at 21 I could see problems arising. I dont know many 18 yr olds that dont drink already though. Kinda silly.

Is 18 not the threshold for becoming a legal adult? Everything in the country that defines being an "adult" defines it as a person 18 or older, except for drinking, gambling and handgun ownership.

At 18, you can buy a rifle, but you can't buy a six pack of beer or a revolver. You can smoke, but not drink. You can buy porn, but you can't put a nickle in a slot machine. You can fight in a foreign land and die for your country, but you can't order a martini or bet on a football game. How does this make sense?

doesnt have to make sense.....the casinos dont want low age gamblers because they dont conduct themselves properly and they chase away the adults....who b.t.w. seem to have the lions share of the disposable income.....

example.....the Canyon Club at the Four queens was open to 18 and over.....it no longer is because the cost of making repairs from the vandalism was prohibitive. the under 21 crowd was kept out....the vandalism stopped....you do the math.
