Has anyone heard of an ice cream place called Frankenstein's? I remember going to this place when I was a kid, it was a make your own sundae place. I thought it was in NH but I can't find anything about it now. Has anyone ever heard of this place?? It was in the 80's when I went, I can't find anything about it so I'm sure it's probably gone.

it was in Meredith Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee - you could go by car (just down the road from Hart's Turkey Farm) or there was a dock on the lake where you could park your boat and go get ice cream! great place!
Thanks for setting my mind straight....I thought it was Meredith but just couldn't remember and b/c it's gone couldn't find anything about it. That place was the BEST!!! Oh the memories....sad it's gone. But thanks for the info....at least I'm not crazy....well.....not totally.
I remember the place too... it was still open when I moved to NH, which was in 1998, and I think it closed a few years later, but I'm not sure exactly when...
Yes, there was one near the beach. Either in Hampton or on the drive to Salisbury. I believe in Seabrook actually. It was a green and yellow shack and it was the best place. You could go there and build yourself whatever you wanted for a sundae. I think it closed down though back in the mid-1990s
That was a great place! It was in Seabrook, on Rte 1A, and has been several different things since Frankenstein's closed.
Maybe somebody can help me to identify a place in the lakes region. It was brown, and had somewhat of a Barvarian style with a large clock face somewhere on the building. Sound familiar to anyone??
ADDITION: This was an ice cream place, I remember having sundae's there. Maybe burgers too, but not so clear on that. This may have been in the Belmont area (we used to stay somewhere on Gardner's Grove on Silver Lake)
