Retiring from the military in early 2013 and looking into moving back to New England. We are interested in purchasing property sooner 2010 or 2011. I lived in Mass many years ago but nearly 20 yrs in the Military has kept me away. We've vacationed in NH before we had a child-now 5yrs old. Interested in middle to lower NH. I'm in Emergency Management and my wife is in Human Resources/Public Administration. Looking for good schools, preferably private schooling. Looking for small town NE with great people and a close knit community, parks, cafe's and something Norman Rockwell might paint without the high price tag.

Dover. That's my take.

I think you'll like it. Do a search and see my review of the town along with others.

Good luck!

There are certainly many locations that could qualify. I would imagine location of employment may make it decision easier. Additional information may be helpful for some of our posters to narrow down the search for you.
