Can anyone tell me if there are any other first come first serve lots in Manalapan besides the one by BB&B and Wegmans on Craig Rd? What about wait times for permits for the township lots? Thanks.

I think your best bet is to call the township clerk and ask.

Left two messages and waiting for a call back but thought I would seek actual experiences. Thanks.

OH, OK. I've driven through the town on occasion but don't know much about the commuting situation there. Sorry I couldn't offer more info.

The commuter lot on Symmes Rd. is a 2 yr. wait. There is a lot behind Wawa's that may not be as bad.

Can someone explain why a person would pay to park at the Symmes Rd lot when literally a few hundred feet away there is another bus stop with ample free parking with no permit needed (in front of and behind Best Buy)?

I have lived off of Symmes Rd. since 2002 and had no idea about the lot at Best Buy being free. Is it truly free or park at your own risk free? I would hate to come back and find my car towed. I usually drive into the city and could walk to Rt. 9 in good weather, but it's nice to know about the BB lot.

You beat me to it. I would certainly check before I left my car in the Best Buy, Wegmans or P.C. Richards parking lot. I'm thinking if there is commuter parking in any of those lots, it would require a permit. I'm going to Wegmans later and I'll check for signs.

When I lived in Manalapan, I used the one at Gordons corner CORNER (Town Point) after about a 8 month wait. Before that I used the Lot next to Wawa, and RT 9 which at that time there was an inexpensive day by day fee.

This is for the waiting list.

It's not the entire parking lot. There are select spaces at the very front of the lot (closest to Route 9) as well as a number of spots at the rear of the building. The lines are painted a different color than all the other spots. The spots designated for commuter parking are marked. Trust me, the free spaces exist.
