Since I explore everything regarding "kids" in that area, will ask another questions.

Are there any Russian Day Cares in Livingston? I am not sure where to send kids yet (American vs Russian), but would like to know if there are any of them in that area.

Thank you

Not that I'm aware of.
I think the only place you may find an ethnic Russian day care might be out in Brooklyn.

I worked with a woman from Russia and she left our center to work at this one. It is a bilingual Russian/English preschool/child care

I heard its a fantastic school. Too bad they aren't here on the east coast.

Well, if you ever move to the San Jose, Ca area from here, ck it out:

Starbright School | Preschool | Kindergarten

Maybe you'll know someone who will want to do soemthing like this here.

Good luck!

You could start by researching common Russian religions (Orthodox ?) and calling the churches and asking if they know of any daycares. That would be a good way to find an ethnic cluster that may know of something.

Shanny,
I guess it will be me in X years. When I retire, I will open a day care. I've seen great day cares and love kids... kind of know where the quality is coming from..This is dream for now since I am away far from retirement

It is still strange because I heard many Russians live there and nobody could open the day care?? I am not against the American Day Cares - some of them are really good; I just want kids to speak their native language fluently

Then why not teach them at home, while they learn english at day care?

Well..of course we speak only Russina at home and will teach them Russian, but it is just not enough spending a couple of hours (most of the time - less) everyday and weekends. Plus, they can teach there some traditions etc. Well I guess I will need to accept that fact and send them to kindercare or smth like that.

Try calling Marina Goldin, she is the director of the Do-Re-Mi School of Music and Arts in Livingston (it's an after-school enrichment center). She's been in the Livingston area for years, I believe she also lives in Livingston. She is a great resource for anything Russian in Livingston. I'm sure she'll be able to help you. I don't know her number but if you google it, it will come up.
