I am staying for 2 nights at Hyatt at Hudson next Friday until Sunday. Someone recommend me to park on some of the metered parking streets (Montgomery, Sussex, Morris...) after 6pm since its free weekend parking.
Is it difficult to get one of those spots on Friday evening and is it even safe to park my car there during weekends?

Thanks for all your advice in advance.
On-street spaces are plentiful and the Parking Authority generally doesn't enforce parking rules during weekends (police will ticket you for parking next to a hydrant, etc, though). So parking on the street is possible. Is it safe? Generally, yes. When I owned a car, I parked on the streets in JC for years without any problems, but you do often see broken glass near the curb (telltale sign of break-ins), so it is at least a slight risk.

Thats what I need to know thanks!
