i want a 2 bedroom, no more than 1,250. Easy to get transportation to Ny. I have a 4 year old that is currently going to school and receives therapy, i would like a school that will meet his needs. I honestly want to live in a good community that's people friendly and safe, this is why i want to move from the Bronx. Please don't get me wrong, i was raised in the Bronx in a house for 10 years, but i want something better for me and him. Ny has really changed to the worst..
I would also like to have a near by a play ground and a gym.
I was looking into Somerset NJ, but it takes an 1hr 40min to get to queens, NY.
thank you

You have to bite the bullet and face reality about the price of a 2 bedroom apartment in a "a good community that's people friendly and safe" with a "great school" in NJ. And have you checked out commuting costs?
Hundreds of thousands of people in NJ want good schools, safety, and a short commute to NYC. Competition is tough, given that we're the most densely populated state in the union, and competition means higher prices. This is EXACTLY why NJ is one of the most expensive places to live in the US.
Not trying to be harsh, but we get a
lot of people coming here thinking that all they want is to be had cheaply in NJ. It's a little mystifying, frankly.
You can probably find acceptably decent schools in a safe town if you add a couple of hundred to your budget. Look at places like Rutherford or Fair Lawn. And NO commute to Queens will be short.
