Today was the last day of the outdoor Ramsey Farmers' Market, which is definitely one of the best in the area. I was all set to call it a year until next June, when one of the vendors told me they're going to be doing an indoor market during the winter!

This is great news for me. The guy told me that not all vendors would be allowed into the school (Smith School, BTW) where they're holding the indoor market (vendors who require refrigeration or large amounts of electricity cannot participate in the school), but that about 20 (out of about 35-40 or so) would be participating.

Info is here: Ramsey Farmers Market (Isn't their logo cute with the little honey bee as an apostrophe?) See you there!

Sounds great, though about 65 miles out of the way.

I wonder if there's something similar down here. We have Delicious Orchards, but they are extravagantly priced, and it's not local stuff.

Cool article about Matt, who has one of North Jersey's only true free range chicken farms .

Newton has a winters farmer market indoors as well.

I believe montclair has a few vendors who come year round OUTSIDE for their farmers market.
