Good! It's about time some of these a-holes start getting nailed for their crimes. Not only should they be doing time, they should have to pay back all of the proceeds from the sale, and there should be deeper investigations into his dealings. You can't expect me to believe that in 20 years as mayor of Newark this is the only time he's done something fraudulent.........

Look for some left-leaning politician or special interest group to state the jury was prejudiced, and his skin color was the reason for the guilty verdict, within the next 48-72 hours.

he more then likely will never see a day in jail
His lawyer already stated he is filing appeal ( more tax dollars wasted) and while appealing he more then likely will be free on bail...he's what? 72 years old???

Now the girlfriend MIGHT just get her prison stripes

I think public sentiment will be enough to nail 'ol Scratch (I mean Sharpe) to the wall. Though as I've said before, people refuse to vote bad politicians out, when they are finally caught they rarely like to see them get off scott free. Let's hope Mr. James spends a good portion of his golden years behind bars...

Its the right wing conspiracy against him obviously. No big city mayor would ever do anything wrong. You are all obviously anti integration and anti African American.

Infidels!

well someone had to say it

I don't know why I feel like this....maybe I'm bi-polar today, but I hope she is forced to do time in jail, less the weave, hair extensions and make-up. She had it coming and good for her #$!. She is a user and all she had to do is slob on his thingy a few times. She's wrong, she's cocky and I hope she gets it good. Good for her.

I feel bad for Sharpe James. On the other hand, she could rot in the back of the prison cell for all I care.
