My boyfriend and I are planning to buy a house in New Jersey but aren't sure what are good areas and what aren't. I live in Staten Island right now and he lives in Bayonne. He works in Bayonne and I work in the NY/NJ metro area so we don't want to travel more than 45 minutes to work. We are looking for areas that aren't too expensive though. Thank you in advance if you can help us. If you don't know what areas are good do you know where I can find out?

A lot of people from Staten Island have moved to Monmouth County. Monmouth County is really nice and so many people make the commute. Middletown, Hazlet, Matawan, Holmdel are all nice towns.
