Can anyone recommend a sleep dr. in northern Nj? Husband has severe sleep apnea. He did one sleep study and the dr was so incompetent that he gave him the wrong machine and wouldn't give him a follow up consultation. When he canT sleep properly I can't either.

Did you know that people can die from sleep apnea if it's not properly treated?

My neighbor did a sleep study at St. Barnabas in Livingston, came home with a CPAP machine and is doing better now.

it doesn't matter where he sleeps. His airway collapses at night and stops breathing

A friend had an oepration on this nose (or throat?) and is wearing oxyen now when he sleeps. Dr also recommended that he lose some weight which should help his situation. In any event, I also recommend Englewood Hospital - my wife had a surgery there and daughter is doing physical therapy and the place is good in my experience. Good luck.
