After much debate on where we want to finally permanently settle our family, we have decided on NJ. Now we are Trying to narrow down what area we want to be in. We have 6 children so the school system is a very high priority. At first both my husband and I would have to commute to SI daily so we are looking for an area that is not too far from Staten Island. Eventually, one of us will find a job in NJ. We have thought about Spotswood, East Brunswick, Matawan, Bridgewater, Sayerville, Hazlet.. I know we are all over the place just going by different recommendations. We need a 5 bedroom in a safe neighborhood where our children have room to play outside with their friends. Not looking to spend more than $400,000 and would hope to have reasonable taxes. We are a middle class family just looking to find a nice place to raise our kids. Any suggestions? Thank you.

South Brunswick, North Brunswick, or Old Bridge. Your budget is a little tight, though. Good luck!

I would be more concerned about Real Estate taxes as well. Staten Island taxes are very reasonable.

5 BR will be tough on that budget. You might need a 2 family with your size family.
