Can someone recommend a good company that does Property Tax Appeal? I have a property in Bergen which I think tax seems too high.

You're too late for this year. Paperwork had to be in by April 1, 2015 for the tax year 2015. It's really not hard to do by yourself. 5 comparable properties that sold in the prior year that ends on Oct. If you use a lawyer or company they take 1/3-1/2 of the savings for the year if they win. If they lose, nothing. I filed 4 or 5 in my lifetime and won everyone. If it's a depressed property that you're using, foreclosure, divorce sale, flooded without repairs, fire, etc you will most likely will lose. Google property tax appeal Bergen County.

Not sure when you bought your house but if it was recent, contact the realtor you used and they'll pull comps for you. We found 4 comps with our realtor's assistance and then used an attorney from my company's legal plan to do the rest (my company has Hyatt Legal - check your benefits to see if it's offered and sign up for 2016 during open enrollment - it's $7 a pay check and it covered a ton of stuff for me - attorney for home purchase, tax appeal, estate planning/trust prep etc. - all free).

Our lawyer presented our comps and showed up for the hearing. We won and got our taxes reduced by $1,000/year for 2013-2015.
