indeed.

if you have good credit, you deserve it...

if you're walking around with $10K+ in credit card debt, well, then you deserve what you get too !

we are a spoiled nation.

getting credit was too easy, for too long.

I just hope this correction in the economy doesn't send us all into another Depression...

Do you mind me asking which bank or broker you went with and what other fees? I just locked in free 90 days, were looking at march 14 closing date. No origination fee and 0 points. You got one hell of a rate.

So how low do you think the interest rates are going to go the next 6 months? I have a floating rate right now at 6.49 and I have to lock in in june.... I would love to see below 5 %

Historically I do not think they have ever been this low. Have rates ever been under 5%?

yes. about 3-4 years ago. i could've gotten something slightly below 5 a few years ago when i refi'ed. got a 10 year ARM at 5 1/8 instead.

a friend of mine sent me rates from a broker the other day - 15 yr, 1pt - 4.75%.

i'll refi to a fixed rate if it drops to about 4.5% - *crossing fingers*. i think it's a possibility since they're going to drop rates to fend off a recession (if we're not already in one).
